The Rototag is an automatic laser marker that collaborates with robots, designed for marking tags and unloading them onto a motorized conveyor belt. The automated marking process begins with the operator loading the tags into the accumulators of the 10 loading stations. A barcode reader at the unloading station sends information about the production order to the laser, identifying the magazines with the tags to be marked. The rotating table brings the selected magazine to the marking area. Here, a ball screw pushes the tags upwards, while a sensor verifies their positioning. Once the correct focal distance is reached, the tag is marked. A Pick & Place system then picks up the marked tag and deposits it in the basket on the side conveyor. The cycle repeats until all tags in the order are marked. At this point, the input and output conveyors advance synchronously, and a pneumatic system pushes the last basket from the input conveyor to the output conveyor, preparing the system for the next production order.
Productivity
The machine is equipped with a rotating table with 10 loading stations, an automatic Pick & Place system, and a motorized conveyor for unloading. This allows for a fully automated marking cycle, from tag feeding to the unloading of marked pieces, ensuring high productivity.
LASIT Software
The onboard software can be customized to dynamically retrieve data from the customer’s system. For example, it is possible to retrieve the layout for each tag associated with a product family and dynamically populate it with data related to the specific product directly through direct access to SQL SERVER, AS400, or in any other mode provided by the factory system.
