OPERATING PRINCIPLES How the Lenoir-Mec permanent magnet overband works: - The device is suspended above a conveyor carrying bulk materials. - Permanent magnets, usually made of ferrite or neodymium, create a powerful magnetic field that attracts ferromagnetic particles. - These particles are then removed by a conveyor belt, which deposits them in a separate receptacle. - This process is continuous, allowing for efficient magnetic separation without interrupting the flow. Permanent magnet overbands feature a number of key characteristics: No energy consumption: permanent magnets (ferrite or neodymium). Flexible mounting: transverse or longitudinal. Low maintenance: integrated self-cleaning system. High performance: Extraction up to 500 mm working height. Available in electromagnetic (OV) version.
