Description

Overview
TACK GEL is a polyurethane adhesive gel designed to provide cushioning, vibration damping and strong self-adhesion for anchor-free seismic restraint and anti-tip fixation in industrial environments. It secures equipment without anchor bolts or floor damage, contains no plasticizers and emits no gases, making it suitable for cleanrooms. An outdoor-grade variant (Tack Gel EX) offers UV and rain resistance.

Patents / Recognition
Patented: Japan No. 5153672. Selected for Kansai Monozukuri New Selection 2013.

What is NonBuren Tack Gel
NonBuren Tack Gel is derived from the NonBuren family of polyurethane gels with adjustable hardness. The Tack Gel variant combines controlled firmness with enhanced surface tackiness to offer easy handling, strong adhesion and vibration mitigation — functioning as an anchor-free seismic mat or anti-tip adhesive sheet adapted for industrial equipment.

Key Features
  • No anchor bolts required — no bolt marks or holes in floors
  • Sheet sizes selectable and cuttable to match machine footprint and load
  • Reusable after washing — self-adhesive and repositionable
  • Plasticizer-free — prevents chemical migration and maintains stable adhesive surface
  • Available outdoor grade (Tack Gel EX) for UV and rain exposure
  • Selected product recognition: Kansai Monozukuri New Selection 2013

Strong Adhesive
Tack Gel provides very high adhesion per unit area while remaining removable without special tools. Being plasticizer-free eliminates chemical migration that can damage floors or equipment. If contaminated, the gel can be rinsed with water and air-dried to restore adhesive strength for repeated use.

Seismic and Vibration Performance
Formulated from NonBuren polyurethane gel, Tack Gel offers vibration-damping characteristics comparable to the 30-degree hardness version of NonBuren. It prevents transmission of small vibrations to sensitive equipment and serves as an adhesive restraint solution where anchor bolts are impractical.

Weather and Outdoor Resistance
Tack Gel EX is tested for outdoor use with UV and rain resistance. Typical outdoor uses include fixing gravestones, securing signage, and stabilising solar panels; application conditions and suitability should be confirmed per installation.

Example Applications
  • Anchor-free seismic restraint and anti-tip fixation of machinery and equipment
  • Vibration damping pads under sensitive instruments
  • Cleanroom equipment securing where no gas emission is permitted
  • Outdoor securing of signs, banners and solar modules (with Tack Gel EX)

Example of Adhesive Strength (Measured by company)
Per unit area (kgf/mm2): Stainless steel (2B) 0.014 | PVC plate (skin layer) 0.015 | P-tile (general flooring) 0.017. Equivalent for 100 mm square (kgf): approx. 140–170 (varies by substrate).

Notes on Use
Thanks to its thickness, Tack Gel conforms to uneven floors and provides a more secure bond than thin double-sided tapes. For seismic restraint design, determine gel size and quantity from equipment weight, dimensions, center of gravity and assumed seismic acceleration to calculate horizontal and vertical moments.
