Description

The new Quad Rail magnetic workholding systems are ideal for machining rails. The high magnetic workholding force increases cutting depths, therefore reducing machining time. The system ensures uniform workholding of the rail, with reduced vibrations, better finishes and reduced tool consumption. The solution The increased magnetic workholding force allows cutting depths and feed to be increased, reducing machining time. Magnetism ensures uniform workholding of the rail by reducing vibrations during machining: better piece/machine alignment, better finishing and reduction of tool consumption. Quad Rail: permanent-electro magnetic system for machining rails in the production of railway switch points Why use a permanent-electro magnetic system to hold the rail during milling operations? To complete all the mechanical machining with a single positioning: head, foot and through holes, as well as undercut. Mono-block structure The Quad Rail modules consist of a mono-block structure carved from a single piece, able to guarantee the unique characteristics of rigidity, robustness and reliability over time, without necessary maintenance.
