DESCRIPTION MuMETAL® Round Bar (MuBar) is primarily used for CNC machined or forged components like custom tubing and thickwall tubing flanges, current sensors, high precision current transformer cores, ground fault circuit breaker (relay parts), or any other applications requiring precision machining using a high permeability soft magnetic alloy, with a low coercive force and low losses, in the range from 0-100 kHz. Atmospherically controlled Perfection Annealing is required after machining to provide maximum shielding performance. Annealing pricing is based on the number of pieces and the length needed. If you need Perfection Annealing services after machining, please request annealing pricing. Our MuBar is stocked unannealed in a hard state, in diameters from 0.25 in to 8.17 in [6,35 mm to 207,5 mm]. Our 5.31 in and 8.17 in [135,0 mm and 207,5 mm] are Black Forged bar. Quotes for MuBar are price per linear inch of bar material: For example, a quantity of 10 quote of MUBAR-980 (0.980 in. / 25,0mm) would be for one piece of 10 inch long bar.
