Five testing lines, mounted side by side on a common table, allow for easy and fast testing of electric motor parameters. The Motor Under Test (MUT) is held in place by a concentric quick-change fastener, mounted on sliding rails to allow precise positioning in front of each testing station..
On the standard model, the various stations include:
1. Cogging Test System for measuring friction and cogging torque.
2. Back EMF test system to measure the current and voltage the motor can deliver.
3-5. several test stations are equipped with dynamometers of different torque ratings to test motor performance. These dynamometers run load profiles while torque, speed, current, voltage and temperature (and other parameters) are recorded. This enables input/output power and motor efficiency curves to be calculated.
Each test line is controlled by Magtrol's standard measurement software. The Test Bench integrates a high-end 4 channel power analyzer, with precision current sensors. The device under test is powered by a DC power supply integrated in the bench and controlled by the software. A dynamometer controller provides a closed loop regulation either in torque or speed mode along the testing profile.
This combination enables you to cover a wide range of performance requirements, carry out a series of tests quickly, and reduce the space and cost normally required for several test benches.
