Description

Overview
Dry cutting line for fired ceramic tiles by Maincer fully eliminates the need for water to cool diamond tools, delivering higher productivity than wet cutting with a comparable surface finish. The line is configurable for different tile formats and production requirements and integrates three primary stages: marking, breaking and grinding/beveling. Maincer's solution simplifies operations while optimizing throughput and finish quality.

Key stages
  • Marking: rollers score the glaze to define a controlled fracture line.
  • Breaking: a pneumatic wheel applies pressure on the score to split the tile along the incision.
  • Grinding/Beveling: separated pieces are routed to opposing grinding motor groups for finishing (one piece processed upward, the other downward).


Work sequence
  • Operator loads a pallet into the automatic feeder; pieces are positioned on a roller conveyor and transferred to a belt conveyor.
  • The belt conveyor feeds the marking module where rollers score the glaze.
  • The breaking module uses a pneumatic wheel to fracture the tile along the score.
  • Separated pieces are sent to opposing grinding motor groups for finishing.
  • Finished pieces are delivered to stackers where they are piled and prepared for final packaging.
