MākuSafe’s innovative hardware ecosystem is fully scalable for any size operation, job site, or workforce. Easy to deploy, “kits” include the MākuSafe wearable devices, armbands, base station kiosks, installation and ongoing support. Workforce Wearable Device The core wearable device is small but carries an array of IoT-enabled sensors which gather data on ever-changing environmental conditions, potentially hazardous human motion, proximity and location – all of which are essential to worker safety and health. In addition, the wearable allows workers to record near-miss voice memo reports, good catches, and observations from the front lines with the push of a button. These reports and leading indicator data are sent to safety leaders for action. Designed for Comfort and Durability The device is easily clicked into a holster on an armband, worn on the worker’s upper arm on the outside of clothing. The armband is adjustable and comfortable throughout the workday. Designed to withstand the tough demands of industrial workplaces, at the end of a shift the device is returned to the kiosk, charges if needed and is ready to be checked out by another worker. Armbands are not shared, and are available as replacements are needed. Worker Privacy Worker privacy is a concern we take seriously. Nothing personal, biometric, or HIPAA covered is collected from the worker (no PII). Workers are not continuously tracked, but rather location is identified when an indicator is detected or snapshots of environmental conditions are taken. There is no auditory, visual, or haptic feedback delivered to the worker which could interrupt work or cause distraction.
