THE PRESENT THAT ANTICIPATES THE FUTUREThe Master Tower marks a new milestone in the production of asphalt mixes, focused on reusing existing materials, producing low-CO₂ mixes and optimizing energy consumption. The plant can manufacture mixes containing high proportions, up to 100%, of recycled materials reclaimed from existing pavements (RAP).
OverviewRange: 260 t/h and 320 t/h. RAP: 100%. Transport/Installation: fixed. Key features: parallel drum, 1 burner.
Detailed presentationMarini Master Tower results from simplifying and optimising the asphalt-mix production process. The concept uses complete recirculation of produced gases to maximise introduced energy and enable total recovery of reclaimed pavement materials. The process delivers low-emission mixes and significant energy savings while preserving the residual bitumen in the RAP.
MAIN FEATURES:- Re-combustion of hazardous bituminous particles (Marini patent)
- Ability to reach up to 100% RAP produced at 160 °C
- Specific mechanical, manufacturing and design features of the plant (Marini patent)
- 1 burner instead of 2 (Marini patent)
New drying concept and RAP handlingThe two dryers are positioned above the mixer to avoid adhesion from hot recycled materials and to raise the material to working temperature in a controlled way. RAP leaves the RAP dryer at a minimum of 160 °C, enabling production of mixes with up to 100% RAP without overheating virgin aggregates. RAP is dried and heated by hot gases from the virgin-aggregate drum, avoiding direct flame contact with the recycled material and limiting temperature peaks.
Next-generation drying processThe Marini solution simplifies heat-producing elements by using a single burner to heat virgin materials in the first drum and then transfer, according to the blend, the required heat to the second drum that processes only the RAP. This approach reduces fuel and electricity consumption and lowers atmospheric emissions.
New management and control systemComplete automatic plant management solution with process control according to programmed instructions, while allowing the operator to intervene and modify selected process parameters.
