OverviewWe offer an automated sheet metal punching machine with integrated loading and unloading, equipped with a single-head 46-station turret to reduce cycle time by minimizing tool changes. The system is suited to medium and high-volume production of repetitive parts and precise perforations.
FunctionalityThe punching process starts with sheet loading and secure clamping. Punch tools are selected by shape and diameter and mounted on the punching head. A hydraulic drive actuates the head to perform cuts and perforations against matching steel dies, producing clean, repeatable edges.
Punching combined with Laser Cutting for Complex ShapesAt Teklan, punching tools are used for repetitive/simple features (circles, ovals, rectangles), while laser cutting is applied to complex contours, embossing and fine geometries. Combining both processes improves throughput, accuracy and edge finish by using the optimal method for each feature.
Typical Process Steps- Loading and clamping of the sheet into the machine
- Selection and mounting of punching tools according to required shapes and diameters
- Hydraulic actuation of the punching head to perform cuts and perforations against a corresponding die
- Use of laser cutting where more complex or high-precision shapes and embossing are required
- Unloading and inspection of punched parts
Applications- Complex embossed sheet metal components (automotive, aerospace, industrial parts)
- Control panels and electronic components requiring tight tolerances
- Ventilation systems and ducts with precise shapes
- Furniture and decorative metal elements produced with punching and laser techniques
Lead time / Production timeProduction time depends on part size, complexity, material and required precision. Individual parts can take minutes to hours; full projects including design, programming and tool setup may extend to days for large runs or very complex parts. Provide drawings and specifications for an accurate estimate.
