Description

Smart design takes feet removal to a new level of efficiency. Hocks have already been separated from the whole bird. These hocks are transported in the slaughter shackle and are perfectly positioned in the Feet cutter for fast, clean cuts. This cut separates the feet from the shanks. The Meyn feet cutter separates the feet from the hocks. The hocks are hanging in the de-feathering shackle and are separated by a rotating knife that cuts the hock into a shank and a foot. The feet cutter is placed in a 180-degree curve on the overhead conveyor. The hocks are positioned with a positioning unit integrated in the feet cutter. The rotating knife cuts through the heel to separate the feet from the shank. The feet remain in the shackle and can be removed with the feet unloader. The shanks are dropped below the machine, to be processed further (containers or pumping systems not included).
