Description
Hot and cold strip are processed by steel service centers that use a variety of different methods. In slitting lines, for example, extremely wide coils weighing up to 40t are split into several narrow rings. After the slitting process, either the MTS 8201.T, MTS 8201.LLT, MTS 8202.T or MTS 8202.LLT system (depending on the precision required, the material width and the vertical material movement) measures the thickness profile. Working in combination with the MWS 8203.LLT system, even the width of each ring cut can be determined.
