The MTS 8202 Model is a continuous sheet metal thickness measuring instrument developed by Micro-Epsilon. It is mainly used for the deviation control in the rolling mill for metal production and machining. The framework integrates a traversing sensor unit which measures thickness profile and width. The unit also features documentation of thickness profile and width for every plate, increased production efficiency, and independent from alloys. In addition, the system is equipped with 4000 mm maximum width, 20 mm to 50 mm plate thickness, and 700°C maximum plate temperature.
