Description

Midwest Machine’s Proportioning Saws are specifically designed and custom built to automate your retail meat cutting process. They are ideal for both boneless and bone in beef and pork subprimal portioning. They can also be utilized for portioning frozen fish. These automated retail meat saws eliminate all safety risks normally associated with band saw operation. Product stagers load trays far away from and depress the cycle start buttons. Light curtains protect the cut zone. Designed to be installed as a mirrored pair in a dual saw application, one operator typically loads and monitors two saws simultaneously. Trays and clamps are specially designed for each primal cut and are easily changed over to accommodate change in product flow. Angle bias up to 10 degrees is also available as an added option. Many levels of programming are available, the base saw cuts a repeated thickness or preset variable thicknesses, but the full potential of the saw is seen when utilizing the optional smart vision system. This system is capable of portioning to specified weights as well as identifying product specification changes through a given piece. (Example: Changing from a Porterhouse weight/thickness specification to a T-Bone specification while portioning a beef shortloin.)
