Reverse Polarity Protection
The LCU-40APW is a self-contained analog ultrasonic sensor housed in a PVC enclosure with 1-inch NPSM mounting threads and powered by 11.8–30 VDC with reverse polarity protection. It provides two outputs: a factory-calibrated analog voltage output fixed at 250 mV per inch, delivering 1–10 VDC over a 4–40 inch range, and a pulse width output that represents time-of-flight for direct distance measurement. Both outputs interface cleanly with PLC and computer-based control systems, with system resolution determined by the selected input card and scaling. The sensor supports terminal block or M8/M12 quick-disconnect connections, accommodates temperature compensation for varying air conditions, and integrates easily with Migatron set point controllers when discrete control is required.
