The AT-1260 is a large-scale seawater temperature bath developed by MPtest specifically for the verification, calibration, and metrological traceability of oceanographic Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) sensors and complete sensor frames. The bath is constructed of titanium alloy and uses seawater as the working medium. It features a workspace with a diameter of 660 mm (26.0 inches) and a depth of 1250 mm (49.2 inches), with a total volume exceeding 500 liters (132 US gallons). The substantial depth of nearly 1.25 meters allows entire CTD frames to be immersed for calibration and traceability. A built-in thermostatic enclosure minimizes the influence of ambient temperature fluctuations. Combined with MPtest's jet-stream agitation technology and a high-precision temperature control system, the bath achieves a temperature stability of ±0.0003°C at 2°C. The use of an external split cooling/heating unit (heat pump) accelerates heating and cooling rates, improving operational efficiency. It is suitable for comprehensive testing of oceanographic CTD systems and for use by research and development departments.
