PTFE-coated fiberglass sewing thread BSTFLEX-STPF

PTFE coated Fiberglass Sewing Thread is a 100% fiberglass thread coated with, non-stick PTFE that is used in the fabrication of custom removable insulation jackets or pads. The PTFE coating limits the temperature rating to 500°F (260°C). The natural colour of this thread is light brown. This product retains 75% of its strength up to 650ºF, softens at 1350ºF and melts between 2050ºF and 2160ºF. PTFE coated Fiberglass Sewing Thread is from continuous "E" filament yarns, a strong, chemical resistant textile sewing thread. PTFE coated Fiberglass Sewing Thread is offered for applications requiring intermediate capability up to 1,000°F (555°C). For applications up to 1,450°F (790°C), silica Fiberglass Sewing Thread is offered. For 700 degree C, basalt sewning thread is offered. Metalized Sewing Thread should be used when high temperature resistance is required over 1,500°F (815°C).
