OverviewNorck delivers precision metal stamping services for prototyping, low-volume bridge runs and scalable high-volume production. Offering stamping, coil handling, progressive/compound dies and integrated finishing, the service focuses on manufacturability, repeatability and process control.
Engineering support & capabilities- Design for Manufacturability (DFM): early collaboration to optimize part geometry, reduce scrap and simplify tooling.
- Material expertise: guidance on sheet metal selection for formability, strength, corrosion resistance and cost targets.
- Process optimization & simulation: FEA-based setup and parameter tuning for tight tolerances and complex geometries.
- Quality assurance: dimensional inspection, material verification and in-process monitoring to ensure consistent runs.
Key stamping capabilities- High-tonnage presses to process a range of metals, thicknesses and part sizes.
- Progressive and compound dies for efficient multi-step forming in a single stroke.
- Coil handling and automated progressive stamping lines for high-volume output.
- Finishing options: deburring, bending, tapping, plating, painting and assembly.
Why Norck (capability highlights)- Scalable production from single prototypes to high-volume series under one roof.
- Ability to achieve tight tolerances and complex geometries with repeatable quality.
- Engineering support through the project lifecycle: DFM reviews, tooling recommendations and production planning.
- Data- and simulation-driven approach to optimize cost and quality.
What is metal stamping?Metal stamping forms or cuts sheet metal using a punch and die. Input can be coil or pre-cut blanks. Stamping performs cuts, bends and draws; progressive die stamping converts coils into finished parts through sequential operations.
Where is it used?- Aerospace structures and components
- Automotive body and high-volume parts
- Consumer electronics
- Biomedical components
- Enclosures and housings
- Beverage cans and high-volume packaging
How is it fabricated (process steps)- 1. Blanking / Punching: cutting a part from sheet coil or blanks using a press and die.
- 2. Forming: sequential operations (blanking, punching, bending) between punch and die to obtain final geometry.
- 3. Deep drawing: drawing a blank into a die to produce curved or cup-shaped parts.
- 4. Loading & stamping: sheet is fed into a stamping press; punch and die shape the part in one or multiple strokes.
- 5. Unloading & finishing: parts are removed manually or robotically and may undergo plating, painting, deburring, tapping or assembly.
Quality & standardsNorck operates under ISO 9001:2015 and implements standardized quality management practices including dimensional inspection, material traceability and continuous process improvement.
