Description

Product overview
Integrated BKG®-FIMIC line concepts for recycling post-consumer polyolefins. Available as DO-Line (discontinuous), CO-Line (continuous) and CFO-Line (continuous flexible) for nominal throughputs in the 4–6 t/h class. Systems combine melt filtration, BKG® gear pumps, polymer valves and underwater pelletizing to deliver consistent pellet quality and process stability.

Key features
  • End-to-end integration from twin-screw adaptor to underwater pelletizer.
  • Design throughput: ~4–6 t/h per line with minimum guaranteed ~4 t/h.
  • Filtration capability: typical melt filter fineness 100–150 µm (application dependent) with fast exchange handling.
  • Process control: intelligent pump control for pressure consistency across the line.
  • Automation: automated venting and process sequences to minimize operator interventions.
  • Thermal & mechanical management: mobile components and thermal elongation adaptors to mitigate differential expansion and equipment stress.

Three line concepts — overview
Three concepts address different production and maintenance strategies: DO-Line focuses on maximum capacity per line and fastest filter exchange; CO-Line supports online screen changes with automated venting; CFO-Line combines continuous operation with flexible redundancy and smaller downstream equipment footprint.

DO-Line (Discontinuous Operation)
  • High single-line capacity to reduce CAPEX per ton.
  • Fastest filter exchange to lower TCO and filter media cost.
  • Intelligent pump control for pressure consistency during batch cycles.
  • Rheologically optimized configuration to avoid polymer degradation.
  • Modular components and pull-screw access for simplified maintenance.
  • Adaptors to prevent mechanical tension from unequal thermal expansion.

CO-Line (Continuous Operation)
  • Continuous processing with the ability to change screens without stopping the line.
  • Fully automated pressure-adjusted venting after screen exchange to maintain product quality.
  • Intelligent pump control and rapid filter handling to minimize TCO.
  • Rheology-focused design to prevent degradation during continuous operation.
  • High automation level to limit operator interventions.

CFO-Line (Continuous Flexible Operation)
  • Continuous operation with configurable redundancy and high maintenance flexibility.
  • Capability to operate while up to ~50% of downstream equipment is serviced.
  • Smaller downstream gear pumps and pelletizers reduce spare part costs and maintenance time.
  • Design ensures safe-running performance in case of pelletizer or gear pump failures.
  • Pressure consistency and rheological control to secure final pellet quality.
