DescriptionThe SPS55F8 is a capacitive touchpad mounted in a stainless steel carrier plate and fitted with two stainless steel switches. The touchpad and switches are rated IP68 when installed with the supplied silicone sponge panel seal. Using "Field Distortion Technology", the unit senses finger presence without pressure; a light touch is sufficient. Due to the capacitive principle, operation may be affected by thick gloves. Built for harsh industrial environments, it functions at any mounting angle and requires no routine maintenance, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor applications such as public kiosks and information terminals, navigation control, processing industry equipment and other industrial installations.

ConnectivityUnits include a 1.6 m shielded straight cable terminated with a USB type A plug; a PS/2 adapter is supplied. No special drivers required — use standard OS HID drivers.
