OverviewNTE Process provides dry grinding, micronization and dosing solutions for multiple industrial applications, including mineral raw materials, chemical industry, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, emissions control and recycling materials.
Processes- Dry grinding
- Micronization
- Dosing and injection systems
Equipment and technology- Hammer mills
- Pin mills
- JetMill (with opposing air jets)
- Dynamic air classifier
- Particle size selector that separates fine particles and returns coarser fraction to the grinding flow
- Screw feeder with liquid nitrogen dosing for cryogenic processing
Separation and controlSeparation of different grain sizes is performed by a dynamic air classifier and particle size selector; fineness of the selected product can be adjusted automatically in-line to optimize performance and minimize energy consumption.
Cryogenic solutionsNTE Process offers modular cryogenic systems to pulverize thermosensitive or low-softening-point materials (elastomers, rubbers, resins, oily products, biscuits, etc.) by bringing them to embrittlement temperature using liquid nitrogen dosed into the screw feeder of the mill. Cryogenic pulverization can improve ground-product quality and reduce energy consumption compared with room-temperature pulverization.
Services and delivery- System partnership from design and development through to turnkey system installation
- Testing to prevent problems related to product grinding and classification
Typical applications / implemented systems- Milling and injection of bicarbonate to control harmful emissions from fossil fuels, biomass and incinerators
- Grinding and handling of toner for printers and PTFE-coated pans, as well as metal and polymer powders for 3D printing
- Compaction without additives through grinding processes for graphene, graphite, carbon coke, etc.
- Systems for the production of detergents
- Grinding and classification for the production of powder coatings with minimal cleaning time and cost savings
- Ultra-fine grinding for cathode materials (e.g. lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide) and anode materials (e.g. graphite, silicon) used in lithium-ion battery production
Benefits- Precise particle-size control via dynamic classifiers and particle selectors
- Inline automatic adjustment of fineness for process optimization
- Cryogenic option for thermosensitive materials improves product quality and can lower energy use
- Turnkey system delivery and testing to mitigate grinding/classification issues
