CoaXPress is an asymmetric, high-speed serial communication digital standard. The standard allows devices (e.g., digital cameras) to be connected to a host computer (e.g., data acquisition equipment in a personal computer) via a single coaxial cable to transmit data at speeds of up to 6.25 Gbits/s. Given CoaXPress' ability to transmit image data and metadata in multiple channels, the device does not have to be a single camera, or it can be an interface device that connects data between digital cameras.
Features
◆ Higher data transmission capacity: 6.25 Gbit/s for a single cable, 25 Gbit/s for 4 cables
◆ Longer transmission distance: more than 100 meters (no hub and repeater used)
◆ Optional transmission distance and transmission capacity: from
[email protected] Gbit/s to 170m@ 1.25 Gbit/
◆ It can realize delayed real-time data transmission
◆ Stable cable material, can use standard coaxial cable - such as RG59 and Rg6
◆ Easy to integrate: video transmission, serial communication control and power supply can be realized on one cable
◆ It supports hot plugging
