DC input, EtherCAT compatible, 4-axis control. Compact, lightweight, reduced wiring, space-saving. Can be used with 2-phase/5-phase motors and electric actuators. Capable of synchronous operation via EtherCAT communication. Equipped with encoder information capture, automatically controlled electromagnetic brake function, etc.
Features:
- I/O signals consolidated into a single EtherCAT communication cable. Wiring for 4-axis communication and power supply are integrated into a single driver.
- Reduces work hours for wiring and decreases problems from miswiring.
- Integrated management of device information including motor information by using an EtherCAT master.
- Daisy chain connection reduces wiring.
- Space-saving installation with right-angle connector direction type.
- Simple wiring: connector positions are concentrated on 2 sides for simplified and organized wiring.
- Optional driver cover (sold separately) prevents foreign objects from falling onto the driver and complies with IP20 protection.
Combined Use of 2-Phase/5-Phase Motors and Synchronous Control Using EtherCAT Communication:
- 2-phase/5-phase motors and actuators can be controlled by a single driver, reducing parts inventory and management costs.
- Synchronous control is possible while using different characteristics of 2-phase/5-phase motors via EtherCAT communication.
Encoder Information and Position Deviation Detection:
- Function to capture encoder information. Position deviation can be detected and output as a signal without a host controller.
- Actual position and speed of the motor can be monitored on PC using support software MEXE02.
- No need for high-speed counters, reducing host controller cost.
- Signals are output to the host controller via EtherCAT communication, reducing program creation time.
Automatic Control of Electromagnetic Brake and Power Supply:
- No electromagnetic brake control circuit required, reducing program creation time.
- Reduces wiring work time.
Sensor Power Supply:
- Can provide power to sensors.
Alarm and Information Functions:
- Excessive position deviation alarm output enables detection of motor stepout (main circuit overheat alarm, etc. can also be output).
- Capable of outputting driver temperature, overvoltage, undervoltage, etc. as information messages.
- Can be monitored via EtherCAT communication.
- Separation of main power supply/control power supply: separate external safety relay can be added to shut off the main power supply; monitoring via EtherCAT possible even when main power supply is shut off.
- Main power supply inrush current suppression function protects circuits from inrush currents when power is turned on.
Support Software, Monitoring Functions:
- Support software MEXE02 allows setting and editing operation data and parameters, teaching and monitoring statuses.
- Startup and evaluation: parameter setting, all axes status monitor, PDO monitor, remote operation.
- Adjustment: waveform monitor (motor velocity demand value and other values can be checked like an oscilloscope; readings can be saved as images or CSV).
- Diagnosis and maintenance: alarm monitor, unit information monitor, status monitor.
Combination with Stepper Motors and Electric Actuators:
- Can be combined with CVD Series multi-axis type drivers.
- 4 motors with input current of 0.5~3.0 A (per axis) can be connected (max. 12 A per driver).
- Combination with vacuum motors possible (check conditions).
