Description

This MPPT Boost controller solar charger can be configured to recharge any battery from 24V to 72V, whatever its technology. In fact, this charger is compatible with Lithium batteries (LiMn and LiFePO4) as well as lead-acid, Gel, NiMh and NiCd batteries. MPPT technology is the technology that will give you the best charging performance. The "boost controller" built into the charger allows you to use a panel output voltage lower than the voltage of the battery to be recharged. You can therefore charge a 36V lithium battery with a single 12V solar panel. The charging speed will depend on the power of the panel and the sunlight conditions. For example, you can recharge a 500Wh battery (36V 14Ah) in 5 hours of sunlight with a 12V 100Wp panel. Note that this charger is not waterproof. The MPPT technology with integrated boost controller allows you to use a simple 12V solar panel to recharge a 12V, 24V, 36V or 48V battery, which will allow you to reduce the surface area of your installation and save money. However, depending on the voltage and capacity of the battery to be recharged, you can combine several photovoltaic panels in series or in parallel. The key is to ensure that the output voltage of the panel or panels is always below the low-voltage cut-off threshold of the battery to be recharged. The output current of the panel or set of panels must not exceed 300W, otherwise the charger will trip. The panel input voltage must be lower than the battery output voltage.
