OverviewOriginally designed for smaller or start-up printers, the Paramount Mini System is a cost-effective range of waste extraction solutions for small printers, print finishers or as an emergency backup for critical equipment normally served by a centralised system. The design is compact with a small footprint and relatively low cost for a range of industrial applications, helping protect production schedules from waste system outages or allowing a single machine to operate during planned shutdowns.
Design and operationThe original Mini-System design uses a blower to induce airflow within a machine pickup, conveying trim and waste to a simple separator/dissipator positioned above the customer’s waste cage or bin. For applications that produce large volumes of heavy waste (for example a 3-knife trimmer), the unit can be supplied with a suitably sized fan and a Venturi unit to provide greater air volumes and pressures. Chopper fans are not used in either configuration to avoid creating additional process dust.
Configuration and options- Available as a self-assembly kit including all necessary fixings.
- Paramount Engineers can provide professional installation and setup where required.
- Optional silencers and thermal/acoustic lag can be fitted to reduce operational noise.
- Optional castors provide mobility so the unit can be moved as needed.
- Customisations are available to meet specific handling or integration requirements.
Typical components and captions- Blower-based Mini System for continuous trim handling.
- Mini-System with Venturi fan system for heavy waste applications.
- Standard Paramount Mini System configuration including fan, separator, filter and briquetter where applicable.
Applications and industriesSuitable for the printing, board, paper, plastics and foil industries and other general manufacturing and processing environments where a compact, flexible waste extraction solution is required.
Technical specifications- Function: local trim and waste extraction for single machines or small operations.
- Air movement: blower-induced airflow for standard units; Venturi + larger fan option for heavy waste.
- Separator: simple separator/dissipator directing waste to customer waste cage or bin.
- Chopper fan usage: deliberately excluded to minimise additional process dust.
- Availability: self-assembly kit (includes fixings) or factory/engineer installation.
- Options: silencers, lag, castors, and bespoke customisation to meet site requirements.
- Use cases: emergency backup for central systems, single-machine operation during shutdowns, small footprint installations.
