Typical waste extraction systems will include a Fan to move the waste from one point to another. The Paramount Chopper Fan can be designed to also reduce the size of physical waste with the addition of chopping blades. Waste size reduction can also be carried out by other products capable of chopping or shredding the waste, prior to conveying by the airstream. Fumes and fine dust can be conveyed by a wide range of Radial or Axial fan designs with suitable size and power ratings calculated to suit requirements.

From the fan, the design of the conveying ductwork is critical for the uninterrupted, efficient and effective removal of the waste product. Paramount Waste utilises bespoke software and detailed survey results to design the best solution for the application whatever the challenge.

At the end of the process the waste requires separating from the conveying air. For solid wastes this will usually involve a Separator Screen or for difficult or high-volume applications a Rotary Separator. The separated conveyed air will continue to atmosphere or filter system if airborne contamination is to be removed. The separated waste will descend into a bin, or to reduce waste volume a compactor or briquetter will provide smaller volumes for onward transportation.

Waste dust systems will be separated by a filter which can also be found on some solid waste systems where dust is a by-product. Fume filtration systems will remove dangerous chemical fumes along with odours from the waste conveying air. If the filtered air is to be returned into the workplace to save energy there will usually be a requirement to include High-Efficiency Particulate Air filters (HEPA) which are designed to remove 99.97% of particles that are 0.3 microns in diameter or larger from the air.
