OPCARD 3.0 – Ultrasonic Acquisition CardThe
OPCARD 3.0 ultrasonic acquisition card is designed to operate as a core component of ultrasonic testing systems compliant with the requirements of the
ISO / PN-EN 12668 series for ultrasonic non-destructive testing equipment.
The device enables system-level compliance when integrated with appropriate probes, calibration blocks, and software.
Applicable Standards- PN-EN ISO 12668-1
- Non-destructive testing — Characterization and verification of ultrasonic examination equipment — Part 1: Instruments
- PN-EN ISO 12668-2
- Non-destructive testing — Characterization and verification of ultrasonic examination equipment — Part 2: Probes
- PN-EN ISO 12668-3
- Non-destructive testing — Characterization and verification of ultrasonic examination equipment — Part 3: Combined equipment
Compliance StatementOPCARD 3.0 fulfills the functional and performance requirements specified in
ISO / PN-EN 12668-1 for ultrasonic instruments, including:
- Stable and repeatable pulser output parameters
- Low-noise receiver characteristics
- Programmable gain and linearity
- Wide and configurable analog bandwidth
- Accurate and repeatable A/D conversion
- Reliable timing, triggering, and synchronization
When used in combination with qualified ultrasonic probes compliant with
ISO / PN-EN 12668-2, the complete ultrasonic system incorporating OPCARD 3.0 may be verified in accordance with
ISO / PN-EN 12668-3.
Relevant Technical Parameters Supporting Compliance- Integrated high-voltage pulser up to 460 V, suitable for standardized probe excitation
- Ultra-low-noise receiver front end (< 1 nV/√Hz)
- Programmable gain range with fine resolution (0.5 dB steps)
- Configurable analog filtering (high-pass and low-pass)
- Wide operational bandwidth: 0.5–25 MHz (–3 dB)
- Precision 12-bit ADC, sampling rate up to 100 MHz
- High PRF capability up to 100 kHz
- Stable timing and triggering for repeatable measurements
- On-board memory enabling consistent acquisition conditions
Verification and CalibrationVerification of systems based on OPCARD 3.0 can be performed using standard calibration procedures and reference blocks as defined in ISO / PN-EN 12668, including:
- Sensitivity and gain linearity checks
- Time base accuracy verification
- Noise level and dynamic range evaluation
- Bandwidth and frequency response characterization
Calibration and verification results depend on the complete system configuration, including probes, cabling, and software environment.
NoteOPCARD 3.0 is a modular ultrasonic acquisition platform intended for integration into customized ultrasonic systems. Final conformity with ISO / PN-EN 12668 requirements applies to the
complete ultrasonic examination system, not to the acquisition card as a standalone component.
