Product overview The Magnet-Ex 12 is a pen-shaped, intrinsically safe test probe for quick, non-contact detection of magnetic fields in hazardous (explosive) areas. Its highly sensitive tip allows checking solenoid valves, magnets in float flow meters, relays or transformers for excitation without connecting to a control circuit or opening terminal boxes.
Operation The test tip is simply held close to the coil or magnetic element. When a magnetic field is detected, the tip lights red. An integrated test magnet enables self-tests and battery checks. After testing the device switches off automatically to conserve battery life. A side clip allows secure carrying in a jacket pocket.
Application area For checking solenoid valves, relays, transformers and float-type flow meters in Ex areas.
