Description

Solid cast polyurethane pigs is an high efficiency pig. The Solid cast pigi s suitable for the pigging of pipeline with diameter up to 12” and is a flexible pig. The design of the Solid cast pig is suitable for pipeline with short bends General function and application: For short to medium-run, bidirectional, separation and batching products in an operational pipeline. Also useful for displacement, swabbing and line clearance duties. Slik-S pigs are manufactured from a solid, single cast Omnithane® polyurethane construction. The isc configuration of 4 x sealing and 2 x support discs are cast in one go to give unrivalled sealing and leaning action, while being able to negotiate short radius bends. The Slik-S incorporates 4 sealing discs designed to give a high interference fit, therefore ensuring a good seal and cleaning action. The sealing discs are normally sized to 105% of pipe ID. The design also incorporates 2 support discs. This ensures the whole pig is held centrally in the line while negotiating line features such as valves, bends and tees. This again ensures a good sealing and cleaning action by holding the pig in the centre line and giving even wear to the discs. The Slik-S pigs due to the flexibility of the solid Omnithane® polyurethane body will negotiate short radius bend as low as 1.5D, even in 2” pipe size. The Slik-S pigs can be manufactured from our full range of Omnithane® polyurethanes, Standard, & Super, in addition FDA grades for the food industry.
