SAP for Expanding Rubber
Expanding Rubber, also known as water swelling rubber, hydrophilic expansion rubber, is a new type of functional polymer material, with elastic sealing and water-absorbing expansion dual water-stop effect. It is widely used in subways, culverts, tunnels, underwater projects and urban water supply facilities. The main components of swelling rubber are rubber matrix materials and hydrophilic components. After absorbing water, expanding rubber can swell to several times of its own volume. It can fill irregular surfaces, gaps and cavities in contact with huge pressure to achieve the effect of sealing and stopping water.
Since super water absorbent polymer is one of the main raw materials of expanding rubber, SOCO superabsorbent polymer is becoming the better choice in it because of its better water absorbent and water retention capacities. Besides SOCO Polymer is harmless & eco-friendly, much safer to be used.
