Description

The TURBODYN 50 K is an electrostatic atomizing unit of the high speed rotating bell type, conceived and made to cope with the needs of the most up-to-date mass production painting jobs. The turbine drive of this unit grants a very fast acceleration and a low compressed air consumption. The TURBODYN 50 K can be run in the speed range from 5,000 to 50,000 rev/min. The electronic automatic speed control device keeps the set rotating speed constant within a +/- 2% interval indipendent from the paint output. The unit is very compact built with all parts easily accessible. Service and maintenance are greatly simplified. The turbine and its roller bearings are protected from paint or solvent contamination by means of a labyrinth and the permanent pressurizzation of the whole lodging. The head of the TURBODYN 50 K unit is provided with three integrated pneumatic driven valves. In this way the ducts from paint valve and circulation valve and from solvent valve to bell, are shortened to the very minimun. Therefore colour change time and cleaning solvent consuption are reduced to a minumun. All the valves integrated in the unit head are stainless steel fabricated for maximun durability. It is possible to fit on the unit head a ring shaped electrostatic reflector which acts as a counterelectrode to guide the electrostatic field towards the workpieces. As an option it is possible to fit a blowing reflector ring, to blow towards the booth floor the atomized solvent mist during colour change and bell cleaning.
