The permanent magnetic Overband separator (R-OMP) can be installed both transversely and longitudinally. The magnetic field is produced by a set of high-power magnets. A ferrous material that crosses this magnetic field will be attracted towards the magnets and separated from the rest of the materials, conveyed by the drag belt.
Introduction to the Permanent Magnetic Overband Separator
Metals, both ferrous and non-ferrous, form one of the material groups most considered in waste reduction, as they represent high value. Ferrous metals are the elements with the highest percentage and the most easily captured by magnetic fields. Aware of the serious environmental problem, we have developed a complete range of separation equipment, both the permanent magnetic Overband separator (R-OMP) and the electromagnetic Overband separator (R-SKM), with the aim of achieving the separation, recycling, and recovery of ferrous metals.
The physical principle for the operation of the permanent magnetic Overband separator (R-OMP) is based on a magnetic field generated by a set of high-power magnets. Thus, a ferrous material crossing the magnetic field will be attracted towards the magnetic block and thereby separated from the rest of the materials. The magnetic assembly does not involve any energy consumption.
The magnetic block forms the central part of a small conveyor belt. This belt has studs or locks to allow the continuous evacuation of any captured ferrous material. The tensioning and centering of the belt are carried out on the free drum.
