The Z-8AI interface is designed to function as a module with 8 inputs capable of measuring both voltage and current, and it utilizes RS485 communication. It can be powered by either a continuous voltage ranging from 10 to 40 Vdc or an alternating voltage between 19 and 28 Vac. Additionally, it can provide auxiliary power to a maximum of 8 current loops simultaneously.
The module features isolation of 1,500 Vac between the inputs and low-voltage circuits, ensuring measurement safety.
The 8 input channels can be configured to measure either voltage or current. Supported measurement ranges include ±2.5 Vdc, ±5 Vdc, ±10 Vdc, and ±20 mA, with a resolution of 16 bits.
For communication, the module employs a 2-wire RS485 interface and supports the ModBUS RTU slave protocol. It can connect with a maximum of 64 nodes on the RS485 network.
Module configuration can be done via DIP switches or software, providing flexible options to cater to user requirements.
