Gear Couplings
GHF are double-engagement gear couplings designed for very high nominal torques and for compensating axial, radial and angular misalignments in heavy-duty drive applications. They feature an improved gear design and high-strength nitrided gear teeth to maximize transmissible torque and power density.
Features- Double engagement gearing
- High nominal torques up to 1,033,200 in·lb (116,750 Nm)
- Compensation of axial, radial and angular misalignments
- Angular misalignments up to 3.5° permissible
- Improved gear design to increase torque capacity and reduce coupling backlash
- Nitrided gear teeth made of high-strength steel for maximum transmissible torques and power density
- O-ring seal that retains grease and keeps contaminants out of the tooth mesh
- High power density
Typical applications- Roll drives in the steel and paper industry
- Pumps
- Conveyors
- Fans and blowers
