The TY-300 Direct-to-Film (DTF) printer receives a series of engineering and performance updates designed for high-duty-cycle apparel production. Enhancements focus on increased ink system capacity, improved white-ink stability, workflow optimisations, and maintenance improvements to support long unattended production runs and multi-shift environments.

Key improvements

• Doubling of the white-ink reservoir capacity to reduce frequency of tank replacement and minimise ink-out interruptions.
• Improved white-ink stability and smart circulation to stabilise white-ink flow during idle periods, reduce clogging and purging, and extend printhead life.
• Maintains industry-leading print speeds: up to 10.9 m2/h in standard mode and 17.48 m2/h in high-speed mode, delivering nearly 50% higher productivity than comparable DTF units.
• Dual-printhead architecture with optimised firing patterns and high-efficiency drying control for stable CMYK + White layering, minimal grain and banding.
• Four-channel white architecture for consistent opacity across large or dense areas, improving edge crispness and fine-detail reproduction even at high coverage and fast-pass conditions.
• Advanced colour-management with True Rich Color technology for broader gamut rendering, smoother gradients and more stable greys.
• Updates to the automatic maintenance system: continuous ink circulation, scheduled head-refresh cycles and user-replaceable maintenance components for minimal downtime.
• Optional automation: integrates with optional shaker and dryer unit to automate powder stage and sustain high-volume production.

Inks & Compliance
The printer uses Roland DG S-PG2 inks which remain OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT certified; inks are described as low-waste, reduced consumption, and providing stable wash durability suitable for compliance-driven apparel manufacturers.

The updated TY-300 was made available globally from January 7, 2026 through Roland DG’s worldwide network of subsidiaries and authorised distribution partners.
