In-line slitting machine SCM series

Overview
The tamper-evident band on closures is functionally critical; slitting and folding equipment controls bridge geometry and folding to ensure closure performance and bottling-line efficiency.

Caps slitting system
Bridges can be formed in-mould or produced by a post-mould slitting operation. Adjustable slitting configuration (number and thickness of bridges) lets you tune bridge breaking force and flexibility to meet end-user requirements.

FLM12 - caps folding system
Flap or corrugated bands require a folding operation after cap formation to engage correctly with the bottle locking ring; FLM12 performs this folding at line speed.

Scoring & folding system
Combined scoring and folding units perform both operations in a single step for cost-effective integration. Configurable scoring settings influence bridge strength and capping behaviour.

Applications / Function
Machines perform slitting/scoring and folding of tamper-evident and flap/corrugated bands to improve cap-to-bottle engagement and control final bridge strength for reliable capping.
