Ultrasonic thickness gauge – SA8812 The ultrasonic thickness gauge is a non destructive testing device used to measure thickness of ultrasonic conducting materials, such as: Steel, Cast Iron, Aluminum, Copper, Brass, Zinc, Quartz Glass, Polyethylene, PVC, Gray Cast Iron, Spheroidal Iron. This gauge is commonly employed to determine the thickness of tanks, metal sheets, pipelines, under pressure containers, bulkheads, etc. The most common areas of use are quality control activities and maintenance inspections to detect corrosion on the workpiece.
