Description

Santroll’s advanced Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) features a stator built with flat wire hairpin windings, delivering exceptional performance, reliability, and efficiency for demanding applications. Unlike traditional motors that use round wire windings, Santroll’s PMSM adopts a hairpin winding stator using rectangular (flat) copper wire. The conductors are pre-formed into U-shaped “hairpins,” inserted into stator slots, and laser-welded into a rigid, high-density winding structure. This design offers a number of significant advantages: High Slot Fill Factor: Hairpin windings allow more copper per slot, enabling higher torque and power density in a compact footprint. Improved Thermal Performance: Flat wire geometry enhances heat dissipation, supporting sustained high-current operation without overheating. Lower Resistance and Power Loss: Reduced I²R losses translate into higher system efficiency, particularly under load-intensive conditions.
