BUT­TER­FLY VALVES WITH IN­DI­VID­UAL NOM­I­NAL WIDTHS In ad­di­tion to the usual stan­dard sizes, Scheuch COM­PO­NENTS also pro­duces shut-off de­vices with nom­i­nal widths that are adapted specif­i­cally to the con­di­tions and re­quire­ments in ques­tion. The largest but­ter­fly valves de­vel­oped and built by our ex­perts fea­ture a di­am­e­ter of 6.50 me­tres. Fur­ther­more, they can tai­lor much more than just the nom­i­nal width to in­di­vid­ual cus­tomer re­quire­ments. ME­CHAN­I­CAL, PNEU­MATIC OR ELEC­TRIC VALVE CON­TROL In the case of smaller nom­i­nal widths, the valve blade is nor­mally con­trolled with a man­ual lever. With larger nom­i­nal widths, the valve blades are con­trolled us­ing pneu­matic or elec­tric dri­ves. The op­tion which is ul­ti­mately se­lected for your ap­pli­ca­tion de­pends both on the nom­i­nal width of the but­ter­fly valve and on the type and com­po­si­tion of the medium to be con­veyed. EX­TREMELY RE­LI­ABLE AND MAIN­TE­NANCE-FREE Scheuch COM­PO­NENTS but­ter­fly valves are ex­tremely re­li­able and main­te­nance-free – two prop­er­ties which en­able smooth and undis­turbed op­er­a­tion. This is achieved, among other things, by in­cor­po­rat­ing main­te­nance-free com­po­nents. Our solid-lu­bri­cated plain bear­ings fea­ture spe­cial prop­er­ties such as a low co­ef­fi­cient of fric­tion and ex­cel­lent chem­i­cal re­sis­tance. An­other es­sen­tial fea­ture is that our but­ter­fly valves can be used in a wide range of tem­per­a­tures.
