Product OverviewThe ATR V is a stand-alone critical-angle refractometer designed for routine refractive-index and Brix analysis in laboratories and production environments. Available as a non-tempered (ATR V) or Peltier-tempered series (ATR VT), it supports a range of applications from basic Brix checks to advanced analytical tasks. The instrument features a 7" touchscreen and Aquisys3 Core software for local or remote operation.
Key Features- Models: ATR V (non‑tempered) and ATR VT (integrated Peltier temperature control)
- Measurement scales: Refractive index (RI), sucrose (Brix) and user-definable scales
- Temperature-compensated Brix according to ICUMSA
- Low sample volume: standard 600 µL; micro-volume insert < 10 µL
- Integrated 7" TFT touchscreen (800 × 480 px) for intuitive operation
- Durable sapphire prism and flat sample chamber for easy cleaning
- Interfaces: Ethernet, RS232, USB (Type A), Wi‑Fi (via adapter)
- Available peripherals: keyboard, mouse, barcode scanner; remote control via PC/tablet/smartphone
Operation & SoftwareThe ATR V/VT runs Aquisys3 Core and displays results on a high-resolution 7" TFT touchscreen. Operation is possible directly at the instrument or remotely from PC, tablet or smartphone. Data export and integration are supported via Ethernet, RS232, USB and optional Wi‑Fi. The user interface and scale management allow storage of custom measurement scales and automated documentation for routine quality control.
Applications- Food & beverage: Brix control for juices, syrups, honey, dairy products, chocolate, concentrates
- Sugar industry: process optimisation, fast quality control, purity and °Plato/Brix measurements
- Chemical & petrochemical: solvents, polymers, oils, waxes, varnishes and paints
- Pharma & medical: serum, blood and urine analysis; formulation checks
- Cosmetics and industrial process control: essential oils, additives, refrigerants and antifreeze (e.g., ethylene glycol)
Sample & HardwareMinimal sample volume and a flat, small sample chamber reduce waste and simplify cleaning. The sample temperature is measured by an integrated 4‑wire Pt1000 sensor in the prism. Wetted parts: sapphire, FFKM, stainless steel 1.4404 (Hastelloy on request). Housing: aluminum. Power: VAC 80–264 V, 47–63 Hz.
