Motorized instrument for determining the holding or breaking strength of snap fasteners onto garments. The motorized device eliminates operator variability such as application of the load, consistent holding force at the top end, precision hold times, and provides more accurate measurements via a load cell and digital display. The force range up to 50kgf (100lbf, 500N) with travel distance at 100mm (4"). Selective hold loads with 15lb, 17lb, 20lb and 90N by dead weight system and up to 99 sec hold time for testing. The SnapRite is supplied with an Upper Snap Clamp (Linge 12-16), Upper Stud Clamp, and a Lower Fabric Clamp. Capability can be enhanced with clamps & accessories for testing of other Snaps, Jean Buttons, Four Hole Buttons & Garments Accessories such as Zippers, Bows, Appliqué, Toggles, Hooks/Bars, and D-Rings, amongst others. The detachment of a snap or other part may be classed as small parts; whilst broken small parts may require sharp point & sharp edge testing.
