Comprehensive aluminum aging and annealing solutions for the aluminum industry
Various loads need various solutions. Therefore SECO/WARWICK implemented::
/ Mass Flow design, especially for foil annealing where the surface of the load is vurnerable for damages during high atmosphere flow.
/ Vortex Flow jet heating system, for coil annealing when the advantage of high heat transfer can be used.
SECO/WARWICK provides custom engineered aliminium coil and foil annealing furnaces with capacities ranging from single coil modular furnaces to multizone furnaces having tight zone control. We have the experience, knowledge and talent to manufacture efficient furnaces. With exceptional temperature uniformity and unique charging techniques to fit the most demanding application.

- Stress-relieving furnace configurations
AMS and CQI-9 compliant aging furnacesChamber aging furnaces engineered to meet AMS and CQI-9 pyrometry and material requirements. Control systems are prepared for NADCAP adaptation and supplied with certified thermocouple modules. Furnaces are custom-sized to customer load baskets; dedicated loading cars and two-door constructions are available for continuous or batch workflows. T77-capable aging furnaces support multi-stage and multi-ramp profiles. Design targets include approximately ±10% air flow uniformity across the working zone and mineral insulation with long service life.
Scrap drying furnacesCost-effective scrap-drying solutions offered in Class 2 or Class 3 variants. Hearths are adapted for forklift container loading, with simple recirculation via centrifugal fans and water-vapor evacuation. Heating employs compact, replaceable elements and local controllers mounted on the furnace. Doors are manual for straightforward operation.
Features- Multiple convection patterns selectable by load configuration and orientation (horizontal or vertical)
- Wide working temperature range
- Thermocouple accuracy: Class 1 (±1.5°C) or AMS-dedicated (±1.1°C)
- Temperature uniformity: ±2°C in Class 1 furnaces
- Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC options with certified thermocouple modules for integrated, traceable data logging
- Data archive and trending from 0.1°C resolution with 1 s sampling
Advantages- High-convection Vortex Flow jet heating for improved coil surface temperature uniformity
- Shorter heat-up times while avoiding local overheating
- Improved uniformity of material properties and reduced risk of local cracking of milling oil
