Product descriptionThe SEVEN 3S-TP-MB-A thermopile pyranometer measures solar irradiance (W/m²) with ISO 9060:2018 Class A and IEC 61724-1:2021 Class A performance. Equipped with an advanced thermopile detector and optical diffuser, it delivers stable, fast and spectrally flat measurements across 280–3000 nm for solar, meteorological and agricultural monitoring.
Measured parameters- Global Horizontal Irradiance (GHI) or Plane of Array (POA) irradiance
- Internal temperature
- Housing temperature
- Internal humidity
How it worksThe pyranometer converts the temperature difference generated on the thermopile absorbing surface into a voltage proportional to irradiance. A glass dome captures direct and diffuse radiation from the entire hemisphere (2π sr), providing rapid response and accurate readings in W/m². Spectral coverage is 280–3000 nm.
Why choose SEVEN 3S-TP-MB-A- Class A accuracy: complies with ISO 9060:2018 and IEC 61724-1:2021 for high-precision irradiance measurement.
- Multiparameter monitoring: irradiance, internal and housing temperature, and internal humidity.
- Fast response and low zero-offsets suitable for dynamic monitoring applications.
- Rugged design: IP67 protection for outdoor and harsh environments.
- Easy integration: RS485 Modbus RTU communication; optional Modbus TCP/IP.
Installation and maintenance- Unpacking and inspection: verify all components and check for damage.
- Site selection: install with an unobstructed 180° view of the sky, free from shading.
- Mounting: level and secure the pyranometer on a stable support.
- Electrical connection: connect to 12–30 V DC power and data logger following wiring diagrams.
- Configuration: set communication parameters via configuration tool.
- Daily: inspect for visible damage or obstructions.
- Weekly: clean the dome to remove dust and debris.
- Monthly: verify data output and system integration.
- Annually: perform full system check and calibration.
- Recalibration: recommended every two years per IEC 61724-1:2021; up to five years possible due to stable diffusers.
