self-clinching fastener creates a permanent, flush joining of two sheets of metal. The fastener installs smooth with the top sheet, and flush or sub-flush with the bottom sheet. Single point hinging applications. Can be also used for single point hinging applications (not primary use). Type SFW fasteners are shipped with mating washers (made of carbon steel, Zinc Plated, 5µm, Colorless).
