The Accustar® Electronic Clinometer by Sherborne Sensors delivers an adequate accuracy in angle measurements. This device, specifically made to be rigid and tough, is suitable where space is necessary, and where environmental situations are serious design concerns. The heart of the system is a patented and capacitance-based sensor without any moving parts. When rotated around its axis, the sensor offers a linear variation in capacitance, which is electronically changed into the angular data. The sensor and low-power CMOS electronics are packaged in a sturdy plastic housing. The unit is also manufactured for an easy integration. With an option of analog, ratiometric, digital or serial models, the clinometer creates an output signal that complements the direction and magnitude of angular displacement.
