Graphite ring soft polytetrafluoroethylene gasket is a sealing product made of flexible graphite material and modified polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). It combines the high temperature resistance and good thermal conductivity of graphite with the corrosion resistance and low friction performance of PTFE. It is widely used in chemical, petrochemical, electric power, nuclear energy, food, pharmaceutical and other working conditions with high sealing requirements and complex media.
First, it has excellent high temperature resistance. Graphite materials can withstand very high operating temperatures, while soft polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) has good thermal stability. When the two are combined, the gasket can maintain a reliable sealing effect at working conditions up to about 400°C, especially suitable for high-temperature steam, hot oil and high-temperature gas environments.
Second, it exhibits extremely strong corrosion resistance. Polytetrafluoroethylene is one of the best known materials with chemical stability, and can withstand almost all strong acids and alkalis, organic solvents and oxidizing media. This makes the gasket very suitable for use in chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries where the corrosion of the sealing medium is extremely high.
Third, the gasket has good softness and sealing performance. Flexible graphite has extremely strong compressibility and resilience, which can effectively fill the tiny unevenness on the flange connection surface. In addition, the low friction characteristics of PTFE enable the gasket to deform evenly after being compressed, thus forming a stable and reliable seal.
