Stainless steel gasket is a metal seal made of stainless steel as the main material, with excellent mechanical strength, high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance. It is often used in sealing occasions with high temperature and high pressure, highly corrosive media or large mechanical loads, especially in petrochemical, boilers, pressure vessels, steam pipes and flange connections.
DESCRIPTION
1. High mechanical strength and strong anti-extrusion ability
Stainless steel has extremely high strength and rigidity, and the gasket will not be crushed, sheared or deformed when subjected to high preload or continuous pressure. This makes it very suitable for use in high-pressure vessels, flange seals or equipment with large vibration conditions to ensure long-term stable sealing.
2. Excellent high temperature resistance
Different grades of stainless steel (such as 304, 316, 321, 310S, etc.) have different temperature resistance capabilities, generally can withstand high temperatures above 500℃, and some high-nickel stainless steel can even maintain structural stability under 800~1000℃ conditions, which is very suitable for sealing high-temperature media such as steam, hot oil, and gas.
3. Strong corrosion resistance
Stainless steel itself has a natural resistance to a variety of corrosive media (such as water, steam, weak acids, weak alkalis, organic solvents, etc.), especially molybdenum-containing stainless steels such as 316 and 316L, which have stronger corrosion resistance to media such as chlorides. Therefore, stainless steel gaskets are widely used in chemical, seawater treatment, petrochemical and other industries.
