Overview LabSolutions Balance is workstation software designed to ensure the integrity of analytical balance data by retaining measurement results and associated metadata (operator, timestamp, instrument and measurement conditions). It removes manual transcription of weighing data by saving all measurements in a secure database for traceable retrieval.
Key functions - Eliminates manual entry of weighing data; all weighing results are automatically recorded in a secure database to reduce transcription errors.
- Automatically generates tamper-evident spreadsheet reports combining weighing and analytical data.
- Report templates are customizable to client requirements and can combine weighing data with HPLC or other analytical results for system suitability, content uniformity or elution tests.
Integrated report creation Enables creation of report templates and generation of reports by importing sample data and confirming sample reports simultaneously. Note: the multi-data report creation option is required to use combined-report functions.
Weighing process flow Provides a defined weighing workflow to capture weighing data and related sample information for subsequent search, traceability and reporting.
Compliance and templates - Weighing results are saved with associated metadata such as sample ID, balance operator, date/time and balance serial number; saved sample information is searchable.
- Access rights can be configured so that only authorized users can create measurement templates.
Log browser and data protection - The Log Browser displays system status including system usage and analytical balance sensitivity calibration records (AP, AT and AU series models only).
- Search functions allow queries by user name, instrument name or other log fields to facilitate fast checks.
- Data protection features prevent tampering or unintended overwriting/deletion; calibration results and operation history are stored in the database as log records with associated reasons.
Wireless networking and tablet support Tablet computer compatibility with wireless networking enables convenient operation in confined spaces such as weighing rooms. Weighing data can be transmitted or stored over a wireless network; desktop PCs are also supported. Note: a wireless router and a serial device server are required for wireless functionality.
