Overview
The UV-1900i Plus is a double-beam UV-Vis spectrophotometer incorporating LO-RAY-LIGH™ diffraction grating technology. It delivers 1 nm resolution, very low stray light and ultra-fast scanning up to 29,000 nm/min across 190–1100 nm. Designed for laboratory workflows requiring accurate quantitative results, low-concentration detection and compliance with pharmacopeial standards (JP, USP, EP).

Six basic modes cover a broad range of assays:

• Photometric — single or multi-wavelength photometric measurements (up to eight wavelengths).
• Spectrum — full-spectrum acquisition by wavelength scanning.
• Quantitation — calibration curves from standards and concentration calculations for unknowns.
• Kinetics — absorbance vs time for reaction monitoring and rate measurements.
• Time Course — long-duration monitoring at a specified wavelength.
• Biomethod — DNA and protein quantitation methods.

Various functions for comfortable daily measurement

• Assist Function — checks baseline/auto-zero/cell blank procedures and alerts the operator if corrective action is needed.
• Shutdown / Wake-up — scheduled sleep to preserve lamp life and scheduled wake-up to eliminate warm-up delays.
• Startup Validation (optional) — automatic checks on power-on including wavelength accuracy (D2), repeatability, degradation, noise, baseline flatness and stability; supports EP/USP D2 controls.
• Network & peripherals — data transfer to PC, wireless printing and USB barcode/keyboard support for efficient sample entry (router/option required).

High performance and data quality
Czerny-Turner monochromator and compact optics provide best-in-class photometric repeatability (0.0002 Abs max. at 0.5/1.0 Abs) and low stray light for reliable quantitation down to low concentrations. Instrument supports saving/recalling check conditions and results for traceable workflows.
