The sensing element consists of an absolute digital encoder which encodes each angular position in Gray code (at 25 Bits). Through the use of a microprocessor, the output is a signal proportional to the hydrometric level. The transducer belongs to the family of intelligent sensors as it is equipped with an internal micro-processor which performs, among other functions: control of correct operation, data pre-processing, A/D conversion of electrical signals, etc. These features ensure excellent accuracy and high data reliability. The sensor can be equipped with an interface for recording data on a memory card, to be downloaded locally on a laptop or to be collected for subsequent reading on site. The sensor can be accompanied by a Siap+Micros calibration certificate or by certificates issued by other external laboratories (SIT, Colonnetti, etc.). The body of the sensor is made of die-cast anodized aluminium, in order to guarantee an IP67 degree of protection. The transducer complies with the provisions of the European EMC regulations, is protected against overvoltages and fully complies with the prescriptions of the WMO (World Meteorological Organization).
